Hello and thank you for considering to join our Big Brother game. This will be my sixth time hosting and I hope this new chain will top the last chain.
FIRST AND FOREMOST
You must be COMMITTED! That's the number one thing to consider when signing up for this. You WILL be required to come to this board on a regular basis for you to do well in this game. If you don't think you are going to be able to handle the time schedule, do not sign up. Simple as that. So far, I have been lucky enough to not have a single person be expelled for inactivity. Let's hope I do not have to do it this game.
This game is different from my other chain of games. My previous games let you sign up as anybody. This new series of games will take us back to some previous seasons of Big Brother and re-doing them. You will be able to sign up as any cast member from Big Brother 9.
And yes, there will be a couples twist this season. That, however, will be explained at a later date.
If you are going to leave for a vacation, bad internet, or anything else - TELL ME! PLEASE do not leave me in the dark about these type of things to leave me wondering. I will just assume you are no-showing which will only be bad for you. Anyone who is MIA for two weeks without any sort of notice will be expelled from the house.
CHARACTERS
As said above, this is a Big Brother 9 remake which means you can only play as a Big Brother 9 houseguest. Make sure the person you choose isn't already taken.
Note that the houseguest you choose is really only an image base for you. If you want to roleplay a bit and act like the houseguest you've chosen, you're more than welcome to. But if you choose Chelsia, you don't have to be an outspoken free spirit or if you choose Joshuah, you don't have to gay, etc etc.
NO DUPLICATE ACCOUNTS! PERIOD! If you have a sibling, roommate, or anyone else in your household that would like to play, please contact me beforehand.
THE HOUSE
Once you are casted, what you choose to do is up to you! You are obviously encouraged to mix and mingle. There is no rulebook on how to communicate, it's totally up to you! But I will elaborate on one thing...
I am a big supporter of the first amendment. As we all know, arguments and fights are a big part of Big Brother. I will never separate a fight that pertains to the game. However, I do not want any personal attacks. I don't want to see people posting embarrassing pictures from so-and-so's MySpace or revealing to everyone that so-and-so is a 79 year-old grandfather who was once arrested for possession of kitten pornography. It doesn't matter who is behind the computer screen of a character. The character you portray is you. Period.
The house is split up into several different areas on how you can interact.
Livingroom - This will be your first social experience, but once everyone is introduced the nomination, veto, and eviction ceremonies will all take place here.
Backyard, Kitchen, Bathroom - These are all social grounds. Do anything. Talk about anything. It's up to you what you do here.
Note- You may post your MySpace, AOL, etc...but do it at your own risk. I hold no responsibility or control for what happens on those chatting clients. I will not ban anyone for a conversation on AIM.
Bedrooms - Each houseguest can only access ONE bedroom. This is to keep conversation smaller and more private. The HOH will also get his or her own bedroom that they can invite people into. Any conversations in the HOH Bedroom will be removed when the new HOH moves in.
Diary Room - You now have your own personal Diary Room forum where you can post anything. Take notes for HOH challenges, post AIM conversations, post confessionals, etc. Occasionally I will ask you a question or have you elaborate on something more, but this forum will be completely in your control.
COMPETITIONS
Competitions are of coarse a big part of Big Brother. Here is a list of each competition and it's function.
HOH Competition - This will be the first competition of the game, The winner will be crowned the Head of Household. (See Head of Household below)
POV Competition - The two nominees, the Head of Household, and three randomly picked players will compete in this competition. The winner will be crowned the Golden Power of Veto (See Golden Power of Veto below)
Food Competition - This is a challenge that usually involves team work. The losers will be forced to wear slop banners for the week while the winners get access to the Sauna Room. These will happen sparingly.
Reward Competition - Every so often I will post a riddle, puzzle, or clue to something to win a reward. Myself and the winner will only know about the reward. This is a rare competition that might not even happen, but a vital one. It could completely change the game.
CEREMONIES
Here is a small list of all the ceremonies that you can expect to take place during the week.
Nomination Ceremony - This ceremony takes place after the HOH has won. In this ceremony, the HOH will pull out keys of those who are safe...two will be left standing without their key and will be declared nominees.
Veto Ceremony - This, of coarse, is the ceremony for the Golden Power of Veto holder. This is a short ceremony where the holder simply states his or her decision, uses it, or puts it back in the box. If the power is used, the HOH will name a replacement nominee immediately.
Eviction Ceremony - After the POV Ceremony, houseguests will post their eviction and goodbye messages. You will post them in your diary rooms. Make sure you do vote, however. Anyone who no-shows an eviction ceremony is barred from competing in the HOH competition and could lead to an auto-eviction if neglected multiple times.
It's optional, but you may also post goodbye messages to the houseguests nominated in the event that they are evicted. This should be added to your eviction vote. Feel free to say anything as it will not be shared to anyone except the evicted houseguest.
EVICTION
So, have you been evicted? Depending on the time frame you are evicted, the game might not be over for you just yet.
Sequester - This is the house for the very early evictions. The first four evictees will spend their time here. Sequester blocks you from posting anywhere on the board except in your sequester house. You are, however, able to see the house and watch things unfold. You are free to talk about things in your sequester house with the rest of the people in there, but you are not allowed to feed people information, give people hints, tips, or tell the Jury what is going on.
Jury - You have made the Jury and you will be one of the people to decide who wins the game. If you made the Jury, you will be sent to the Jury House. You are free to discuss anything you want in the Jury House. Come final three time, a debate will be set up where you guys will try to figure out who the final two might be and who you might be voting to win in each situation. The last evicted houseguest will talk in, the final two will be revealed, and the actual debate will begin. After the debate, you will each send a question to the final two about why they should have your vote. After the question and answer ceremony, you will begin to vote for person you want to win Big Brother.
The Jury will also be involved in many challenges, especially Part 3 of the Final HOH Challenge.
THANK YOU!
I hope you took the time to read these rules. If you have read and understood them, feel free to sign up and get started immediately! Enjoy your stay at the Big Brother House!
